Point of sale is an establishment that sells goods or services, the location at which payment for the goods is made. For any blind company involved in retail, point of sale materials became more important. Customers are fickle and fussy creatures and need time to be able to touch products and see things working, especially electrically operated products. When customers enter retail blinds and curtains showroom, it is common for them not to know much about the products and goods available, particularly on the blinds side. This is often their first purchase of such goods, so advice without pressure is very important. This gives customer’s confidence in your firm and its products. Sometimes a good product will be let down by poor selling technique, lack of information provided and how it will benefit them. This leaves the customer feeling uncertain about the product and will not result in a sale. A customer who has made the effort to visit your showroom will have an open mind on other areas of their house and gain ideas which will be remembered in the future, when these other areas receive attention. Obviously, this effect is magnified through good point of sale displays, which generate income without effort. Point of sale material must always be well maintained, updated regularly and cleaned so that it looks inviting and interesting. Tatty or out of date point of sale material is a waste of space. An inviting and interesting showroom will keep its customers and benefit from their recommendations to friends and colleagues. Point-of-Sale is often a neglected and underrated part of the business. Those operations that do it well benefit most.
